We love salsa in our house. It’s not uncommon for me to go through half a jar in one sitting. I love homemade salsa but hate having to do the work to get it. Or I hate begging people to bring some in. This is where my new favorite salsa comes into play, Salsa Sensations. It has the look and taste of homemade salsa without the work on my part. Bonus! It’s available in 3 different heat levels: hot, medium and mild.
I love the fact that I have variety. I use salsa when making chili so I don’t have to spend time cutting peppers and all those other time consuming ingredients. I can choose the hotness level of my chili by the mood I’m in and which salsa I choose.
Another benefit is that Salsa Sensations is a very healthy snack:
- Contains only 10 calories per 2 tbsp serving
- Fat-Free & cholesterol-free
- So fresh it needs refrigeration - you’ll find it in the dairy section and won’t find it on the shelf with the other salsas
It is made with sun-ripened tomatoes, chopped onions, garlic, cilantro and jalapeno (habaneros are in the hot). Ok, now I’m hungry and must go have some more. I don’t ever have to worry about running out because at $1.98 a pop, I can afford to get some as I choose.
I chose to use the medium for chicken tacos. The salsa has such a nice rich color that it gave a really nice presentation. The flavor was amazing as well. As you can see, I barely had any left before I could take a picture. Salsa Sensations has quickly become my go to snack.
I also love the hot. It would be excellent to had to my chili for extra heat. I also thought the mild would be an excellent snack to bring to work for food day. I never know people’s prefrences and the mild would be the best bet to please everyone.
Before I forget, Salsa Sensations is exclusively found at Wal-Mart. Be sure to check here and see if your local Wal-Mart carries it.
