I’ve been working really hard to learn my camera and to take great pictures. The picture above is probably my most in focus picture I’ve taken. Now if I just remember how I did it. While I’m doing both better than I was before, there is still so much for me to learn. So I’ve been doing what I always do when I need to learn more: I scour blogs for helpful tips and tutorials. I thought I’d share some of my favorite sites. These sites have been super helpful in my progress.
My Favorite Photography Blogs:
1. Click It Up a Notch – This is one of the first photography blogs that I found and I love it! She is so helpful and her tutorials are really easy to understand. I found her Move to Manual series by chance. Once I read one post that was in the middle of the series, I went back and started at the beginning. There is TONS of awesome information on her blog.
2. Courtney Kirkland – She also has a move to manual series that I found so easy to understand. As someone who has zero knowledge of cameras or photography in general, I really appreciate good tutorials.
3. Everyday Elements – This is not only a photography site but she offers awesome tutorials for Photoshop Elements. I bought Photoshop a couple of months ago and have been trying hard to learn it. Use actions in Photoshop? She has some awesome freebies and some you can purchase.
When I start a new hobby or project, I dive right in. There is no thinking about it or taking baby steps. It’s all or nothing with me. Finding blogs that offer what I’m looking for definitely make this all or nothing attitude much easier on me. If you have any other blogs you’d think I’d enjoy, please feel free to leave a comment.

Thank you so much for including Everyday Elements in your list! If it helps any, there are a good many photography tutorials on there also, which you can find by going to the categories or tags. Sorry it isn't more clear, maybe I need to fix that.
It is. I love your whole site.
I especially love your actions. I'm new to photoshop and your actions are making it much easier for me.
Improving my photography and photo editing skills is on my summer to-do list. Thanks for the links.
You are welcome. If I didn't have blogs, I don't know where I'd be. Probably crying in the corner from frustration…lol.
