Last week, I announced that Lane Bryant is my clothing sponsor for BlogHer 12!! Today, I’m going to show you my BlogHer 12 wardrobe.
I’m just going to start this off with a bang:
To buy and actually wear pants like this took a lot. I’m not one to ever wear bright bottoms. Or really even tops for that matter. But I thought, hey why not? I’ll be in NYC for the first time and I might as well live for the moment and do things I wouldn’t normally do.
To be true to myself, I bought a nice pair of black crops. They are something I’ve needed since last summer but just never bought them. The quality of these Lane Bryant crops is great. They are more of a dressier crop which makes them perfect for work.
When packing for a trip, I like to pack light. The less the better. This top is a 2-in-1 combo. So, I get the layered look but I am only packing one piece. I also love the color of the shirt.
I’m not really a print girl. Stripes are about as far as I go. I like this shirt because even though it’s solid, it has some detail along the neckline. I’ll actually be wearing this shirt with the black crops. Simple, but nice looking. I’ll be sure to add some sparkle with my jewelry.
I’ll also be bringing a simple black cardigan. This is going to sound lame but, I’ve never had a nice black cardigan. Or maybe any sort of black cardigan. Again, I’ve been telling myself that every women should have a black cardigan. But something comes up or I never think about it. Well, I finally bought one. It’s so soft and the sleeves are 3/4. It’s really going to come in handy in the conference hall.
I made sure to get a new white cami while I was at Lane Bryant. My other one was pretty bad. I tend to wear them a lot under shirts, especially to work. I also walked out with two new Cacique bras!! For the price of one!! The frugalista in me gets a little excited when I put a FREE $36 bra on. Go ahead, call me crazy.
To top it off, I walked away with these cute flats. Your choice of shoe is very important at blogger.
I actually have a black pair with a closed toe and cute little bow on them. But I needed a new pair of shoes that weren’t black.
So there you have it folks! That is most of my BlogHer 12 wardrobe. Thank-you Lane Bryant!!
I was provided a Lane Bryant gift card to facilitate this post. All thoughts are my own.
