February: Time Management Month

February is time management month. So, for February, I intend to manage my time more effectively at home. I work outside the home during the day. Let me tell you how organized I am. On most days, my desk is cleared, I do the same tasks normally in the same order at the same time every day. Ok, maybe I’m borderline OCD in this department. I even make sure to stop mid morning and mid afternoon to do an assessment on how things are going and to reorganize my papers.
Suddenly, when I walk out the door at 4 pm, all my time management skills are gone. Just. Gone. By the time I pick everyone up after work, it’s normally 4:45. There is plenty of time to get a couple of chores done in the day. But, I either get lazy or I get on the computer to do blog related things. Before I knew it, it’s time to start supper. By the time supper is made, cooked and cleaned up, it’s time for Jacks bath and my shower. Plus, feel free to add in the multiple times my doggy thinks he needs to go out. We live in an apartment so I can’t just let him outside and come back in while he goes. I have to walk him around outside.
When bath and shower time are finished, it’s time for Jack to go to sleep. This can turn into a half hour job or he sometimes goes to bed with no fight. Before I k now it, it’s 8 or 8:30 at night. By then, I’m so wiped out I don’t feel like doing anything.
So, for the month of February, I’m going to feature different ways I plan to better manage my time. Hopefully, I can get a couple of guest post along the way.
